Hickson 41

Hickson Compact Group 41 consists of four of the five galaxies at the center of the image:

UGC 5345 (HCG 41a, PGC 28764 and others), the largest galaxy at the center

UGC 5346 (HCG 41b, PGC 28770 and others), the above and to the lest (east) of HCG 41a

MCG+08-18-046 (HCG 41c, PGC 28753 and others), the galaxy to the right (west) of HCG 41a

PGC 28784 (HCG 41d and others), the small galaxy to the far left of HCG 41a

PGC 28751 is the galaxy at the bottom right of the grouping that isn’t considered part of the group.

These are located at an undetermined distance in Ursa Major.

Luminance – 24x600s – 240 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 8x300s – 40 minutes each – binned 2x2

360 minutes total exposure – 6 hours

Imaged April 11th, 28th, 29th and 30th, 2024 from Dark Sky New Mexico at Rancho Hidalgo (Animas, New Mexico) with a SBIG STF-8300M on an Astro-Tech AT12RCT at f/8 2432mm.
