I am in line to get a ZAO EAF focuser for my C9.25
I am using this scope on a CEM40 mount.
For those that are using an electronic focuser and any of the iOptron mounts my questions are:
1) Can the focuser be plugged into the USB port on the Dec plate?
2) Using the ASCOM drivers, can it be controlled through the mount -> laptop connection?
I really don't want to have another long 8 foot + cable running from the focuser to the laptop along with the mount->laptop cable,
and when imaging moon/planets another cable for the camera.
Anyone have any thoughts on this? Anyone doing the same?
Really don't want to buy one of those "all in one" units like the ASIAIR.
Just want to use what is available on the mount.
