Every weather app says it is cloudy outside with no chance of observable weather. Well i am going to go with my eyes and believe what i am actually seeing. The 16 inch is set up and waiting for darkness. We might even get a look at the Northern Lights tonight. The real question is, how long can i last. I have been up since 0400.

Am definitely going to need it. Just enjoying a libation before it gets dark, a 12 year old single malt does wonders fortifying against the chill.

We dont usually get the Aurora this good here in Ohio and i gave up for the night, but i am not going to complain, because the light show was amazing. The good news is tomorrow is supposed to be clear so all the equipment is staged in the garage ready to try again tomorrow night. As a interesting side note, for my money.... The Northern Lights was way better then the eclipse. One thing is for sure, Ohio is doing well this year when it comes to cool stuff in the sky
