I cannot say for sure if I have used one or not but from the limited searching for Diamond Z it seems they are considered average at best towards end of production.
The 60mm diameter x 900mm Jason Discoverer Model #313 were apparently not bad and the mid 80s Tasco 14f was considered reasonable optics.

What is the specific telescope? I may find some actual reviews for you.
Some nice refractors, eyepieces, mounts and related equipment

There is a chance of finding some in various EU based forums but I would need to know the model or size to check.

Have you actually seen the label/ model # of this refractor?
I have found quite a few references to their refractors made in the Tasco/ Tanzutsu era from 1986-88 and there is no 65mm listed. (60mm f/16.7 Circle-T under Diamond Z before that)
The f/16.7 is a 60mm 1000mm focal length. Nothing with a focal length of 1085mm or 65mm lens cell at all.

If there’s a mismatch with the sizes manufactured by the maker there’s a chance that it’s not made by the maker on the label.
