After being stored in my garage so as to maintain ambient and lesson acclimation time I discovered this when I set up my Evostar 100ED.

It appears that condensation has formed between the doublet.

Crappola !

I am gently warming the lens cell with hand warmers rubber banded to the cell.

I have also gently warmed the tube with the focuser opened and pointed up. I hope the moisture can escape.

Any similar experiences?

I had condensation formed on the inner surface of my 6" achro objective on a couple of occasions.

Venting it with focuser up took care of the issue with no apparent side effects.

Hopefully your scope will be fine to Mark.

Well...patience, a little warmth, and a little more patience did the trick.
All seems well. No residue.

It was disconcerting to say the least. I am now rethinking my storage method for this scope.

Good news indeed. Sometimes I leave my doublet out all night with the cover cap on covered by a tarp. Taking down the 152 at midnight can be a chore. So far no problems but I try to always bring it in on dewy/chilly nights.

This had me going for sure.
I was contemplating the disassembly of the lens cell.
I am much relieved.

Doublets are easy to dismantle and replace.
If you are leaving the telescope out then use a stainless steel tea ball filled with desiccant in the focuser, this will prevent the condensation build up.
If in a case put a container of desiccant into it as well.

This one is 2.6" in diameter but there are many sizes available.

I have disassembled the doublet several times on lesser kit. Still...I do not relish the task if I may avoid it.
Great idea with the Tea Strainers!

If you cannot find a ball that fits inside your focuser, a 35mm film canister can have multiple holes put into it and filled with desiccant, it will fit perfectly into a 1.25" eyepiece adapter.

All good advice. I put cotton T-shirt material in the film canister then add desiccant and close the makeshift bag with cotton thread. Sometimes the desiccant is a bit dusty and I want to eliminate any possibility of dust getting into my scope. That's just me, I over do everything! Lol! Bill
