M50 in heavy LP?

Wonder what kind of luck people have had bagging M50 in heavy (Bortle 7-8) light pollution. I've tried twice in the past week or so to see it with my 80mm and I'm not sure I had it. It certainly wasn't big and bright. Encoders and SS said I was in the right place.

Didn't check my log book yet, but I'm quite sure I've seen it before although that was most likely with my 120mm.

I captured a single of M50 last month (app.php/gallery/image/1442)

It was prior to me setting up the guide scope so it's a 20 second capture and it needed ISO 64000 to expose it. There's a lot of noise but some star colour evident. Bortle 4-5. It would have been at about 20°-30° altitude to my least LP affected azimuth. It's a little lower in the sky now.

Graeme

Thanks, I'm going to use your pic as a reference when I try again. Supposed to have a couple of clear nights later this week, so I'll fire up my 120.
