Lunt linear Crayford for my ST80
If this works well, it will make a case for getting a Crayford for my 120.
So many toys, so little cash...
Man... That's some icky-tasting stuff!

Hey, I'm an Internet Influencer. LOL.
We'll have to compare notes on how well they work.

I put one on mine. Really seems to open the scope up. Especially when you stick a 2" diagonal in it. That little scope never ceases to amaze me with its performance.

Re: Lunt linear Crayford for my ST80
Why are there two set screws on the bottom of the focuser? One clearly locks down the coarse focus. Does the other lock the fine focus? I didn't want to torque them down and risk scoring or stripping anything. I have zero experience with anything but R&P and the "mirror mover" on my old C8.
Does this model rotate around the flange? There are several small hex screws around the focuser body next to the flange. They're pretty small so I was reluctant to screw around (get it?) with those. Thanks!
Oh, and a note: the 2 to 1.25 adapter from my ST120 does not work with this. The Orion adapter has an angled flange and the Lunt can't grip it tightly enough to keep the thing from flopping around. Luckily, I have a compression ring adapter with no angle on it and it screws down nice and snug.
Man... That's some icky-tasting stuff!

The front tumb screw is tension, the back screw is focuser lock. The focuser rotates, and the hex screws control how tight is rotation.
Enjoy!
