iStar Apos...

For all you ATM-ers out there who want to make an Apo refractor: iStar is starting to produce 140mm triplet and 160mm ED doublet lens assemblies: http://www.istar-optical.com/apochromatic.html

I can't see the accounts department approving the 160ED, but that 140 triplet is already impinging on my dreaming. All it needs is a tube and focuser to become a poor-person's version of the Tec 140... hmmm. ;)

Telescopes: 12" f5 dob, Celestron CPC800, 150mmf5 Celestron achro, Tak TSA102, TV76, ETX125...
Binos: Tak 22x60, Swarovski 8x30 Habicht, FB 25x100, Orion Regulux 15x70...
Eyepieces: way too many (is that possible?), but I do like my TV 32mm plossl, 13mm Nagler T6, 27mm Panoptic and 3-6mm Nagler zoom, plus Fujiyama 18mm and 25mm orthos and Tak 7.5mm LE

Its might be easier to become an "optics related business"... I've got a business number and I show people the stars as part of the business. The discount would probably pay for the shipping at least. Hmmm ;)
