I’m currently running another nightscape photography workshop for the photography art centre I have taught at for the past 28 years.
Last Tuesday I met my class in a small town called Boorowa at sunset. As I arrived in town I observed a lot of smoke coming from crop stubble burn off. We went to watch the setting Sun then looked for the moon and comet Pons Brookes. We soon lost any hope of shooting the comet but the 3.5% moon pushed through the thick ethereal smoke.
