Hi,
I was careless and created a short circuit in the EQ3 Pro hand controller. Visible U2 and D4 are burned out.
Model SynScan V5 Rev A. From what I read here it is D4 -1N4001. (I am not sure.) How can I find the U2 part code? Can anyone use it and share a photo of this piece?

I found it from another user. Code "LH40 357T W"
It is available as 357T. I am writing it here for information as well.

Have you checked here for a new hand controller or board? https://tavcso.hu
i'll start looking for a diode, i might just pull my controller apart to find the package size

If a fix isn't possible (would probably be beyond my skillset), the synscan Wifi module is a more affordable replacement than a new handset.
Comes with additional functionality as well - such as point and track, which makes initial alignment redundant for quick grab and go use where you know your targets.

fast recover diode rectifier, hmm maybe. these are at the ic chips , unfortunately both my skywatcher synscan controllers have celectron boards in them ... they just have a fuse at the input and a larger m1 diode with the 357t ..
Yes as mentioned a new (used) controller from say CN classifieds is a cheap option , not sure how post works in Turkey from US , have been in Istambul
only once lovely , but it was for 2 days only far too short
