our good old sun.

#1

Post by messier 111 »

Hi all ,

I decided this morning to take out my solar telescope.
a bright but cold day { 0 celcieus } .
after letting my telescope cool down, around 45 minutes.

I went out to see, a little windy but nothing too unpleasant.
I started with the Orion zoom, very nice views overall.
I also tried the 10mm and 17mm delos.
the 17th was the most suitable for this morning.
I returned after dinner, the sky was calmer and more translucent.
I went back with the Orion zoom because I found that the surface of the sun was sharper.
Sunspot 3615 was in all its splendor, the penumbra was clearly visible with bridges of light cutting through it.
the magnification was 80 times.
several filaproms were visible with very good resolution.
a double arched protuberance suddenly appeared when I decided to screw the etalon a little tighter .
WOW , the internal structure was absolutely beautiful, several filaments moved along with the magnetic field.
It was at this moment that I decided to use my binoviewer.
my binoviewer is a linear orion.
I let them cool down a bit.
I had to familiarize myself with this type of instrument, but it's quite simple after all.
I must say that the view is really not the same in binos.
the 3d effect is very easy to detect and clearly different from what I saw with a simple eyepiece.
earlier I was talking about the filaproms, here in binos it was in 3d as if the filaproms were now hovering over the surface of the sun.
It was truly magical.
the double arch was also in 3d against a black sky background.

I am really happy with these binos.
It was a very beautiful day under radiant sunshine.
Thank you for taking the time to read.
