helios seen through the 80 mt lunt.

finally after so long.
for those who know about my adventure with customs.

My Lunt arrived at home today, after having gone to pick it up some 400 kilometers.
I am very impressed by the said telescope.
pretty colors, sturdy and very well finished.

I had the chance to use it around 3 o'clock this afternoon, wow it has a clear difference between the 60 and the 80.
the front lens is an fpl-53 compare to pfl-51 for the 60 mm.

as I said, I was lucky enough to see the sun in all its splendor.
A multitude of proms were clearly visible.
some spots too.
but the highlight of the show was undoubtedly the 3 arches that I saw.
We could easily put the earth between the sun and the arch .
the first one I observed, between the time of looking, taking a break, you could already see a difference in the arch.
it was a bit like seeing it live.
this arch was located at one o'clock on a dial.

the second was located at around 7 o'clock, again we could see the movement with the observation time.
I'm grateful I was able to watch, because shortly after [obviously] the clouds came into action.
but all this beauty in seeing the changes in the very structure of the proms is fascinating.

I am very happy with the performance of this little test that I did this late afternoon.

Congrats, mon.
and light's even getting in there!

Really, looks like a nice rig.
Binoculars; Celestron Skymaster 18-40 X 80 zoom, Bushnell7-15 X 35 zoom, a couple of older single speed Bushnells that ride around in the car for weather spotting clarification
Scopes; Tiny little Mak-Cass Celestron c90 spotter scope that lets me count the moons of Jupiter and with which I can see Saturns rings in Mickey Mouse phase
Old Meade 1000mm f/11 that was missing the finder scope and ring so I rigged one onto the barrel using duct tape and a bit of cardboard and that actually works and I can count the moons of Jupiter with this one too.
Meade 6" reflector,(really elderly), found at a yard sale, the tube is a bucket of rust and corroded mirror but the mount and tripod will be recoverable so hooray for that.
Cameras; Mamiya medium format 645 with a couple of polaroid backs and a series of wide angle to 50mm lenses
Konica-Minolta 35mm,Sony alpha dslr's, up to the a900 full frame, mostly got them used because I don't have much money.

Congratulations Jean Yves !!!!
I was following the unfortunate saga but Lunt sure made up for it with the upgrade offer . The extra 20mm and higher quality glass would be well worth the wait .
I enjoyed reading your first light , there is so much to see in narrow band , welcome aboard !!

The other focuser you see is the one I'm going to use for the evening, the 80 is a modular telescope.

It was worth it.
