Hello all,
As the subject says it's been a while for me since I've been active here. I got a note from the admin saying it had been a while since y'all had seen me so I figured I would drop a line to let everyone know I'm still kicking and screaming.
Last August the day after I moved to my new home, work gave me a new project that takes all of my time plus some during the day. What little time I have left now, I've given to Astro Photography Tool,APT . Ivo has created some really cool new features for it, Just to name a few, a searchable database for image data, a planning tool for the Object Browser showing max imaging time, remaining imaging time of any particular object visible in your sky, sequencing objects and plans, the list is phenomenal. All of you that image should go check it out. AstroPhotography Tool - The Imaging Catalyst
Since I've moved, I've managed to get out under the stars twice, very sad about that. However, my personal observatory, construction began back in January, foundation was poured for a 15x15 building but the construction company Back Yard Observatories appears to not survied the pandemic. While the web site is still up the phone number is no longer active and the emails are not returned. Just FYI for anyone looking for turnkey solution.
Once work permits, I will return and become active here again. I do plan on being slightly more active now than once every nine months.
Clear Skies,
Chris
