Making a Solar Filter holder for your Telescope
It's very easy to make a filter holder perfectly suited to total solar eclipse observation. A filter holder needs to be secure AND be able to be quickly and easily removed in the seconds prior to totality and quickly and easily replaced just after totality without placing any force on the telescope or lens.
I have a detailed tutorial describing how to make such holders for camera lenses or telescope tubes. I have been using this type since 2002 for across 13 eclipses. If properly cared for, they last a long time.
