Feb 9th Sun in Ca-H
Greetings!
Caught some rays just in time as the ground fog cleared and the overhead cloud rolled on in...
I opened the windows at 10am suspecting a brief possibility and one pass across the sensor was granted at 10:52am, the seeing was of course horrible and the take was 4% of 6,347 at 4ms with the baader wedge and Ed70.
Cool though the homebrew filter stack is now getting 4ms frames at f6, another milestone for its testing and now I just need more than a minute with my target to begin actually using it!
Best of Weekends and Clear Skies Everyone!

Re: Feb 9th Sun in Ca-H
An image from my early days of wave tinkering only last year, playing all the cheap filters I had lying about from night astro and even running them all Ir and Uv Open or everyway I could think of,
Then...
Just had to see it all here at once like this, been a journey...
Hope you like them!

Re: Feb 9th Sun in Ca-H
They are now all tucked in thier own filter cells or I should say threaded into camera t adapters to 1.25, makes the neutral density work easy and cheap. Plug and play...

Nice deal Aaron, and that blue filter shot really brings out the detail!
Nice we both caught yesterday, too bad for today...
Hopefully clear daytime skies soon
