LOOK OUT I ACTUALLY SAW THE SUN OVER OHIO!!!
Binoculars; Celestron Skymaster 18-40 X 80 zoom, Bushnell7-15 X 35 zoom, a couple of older single speed Bushnells that ride around in the car for weather spotting clarification
Scopes; Tiny little Mak-Cass Celestron c90 spotter scope that lets me count the moons of Jupiter and with which I can see Saturns rings in Mickey Mouse phase
Old Meade 1000mm f/11 that was missing the finder scope and ring so I rigged one onto the barrel using duct tape and a bit of cardboard and that actually works and I can count the moons of Jupiter with this one too.
Meade 6" reflector,(really elderly), found at a yard sale, the tube is a bucket of rust and corroded mirror but the mount and tripod will be recoverable so hooray for that.
Cameras; Mamiya medium format 645 with a couple of polaroid backs and a series of wide angle to 50mm lenses
Konica-Minolta 35mm,Sony alpha dslr's, up to the a900 full frame, mostly got them used because I don't have much money.

Hazy enough to not be able to discern the moons, but it was just joyous to see that bright golden just the same.

Just a circle with what bands I can see and some small dots of where the moons are. I do try to make the moon positions pretty accurate.

We have experienced similar times here in the NorthEast. Tonight, I brought out the ETX-90 to get a quick peak at Jupiter, and to take it all in.
Unfortunately, I did not clear-out the back yard as well as I normally do, as there was a lot of added fill dirt added at all the low spots (still clearing/grading for the observatory). Took a nice slip and almost fall carrying it all out, and really twanged my back. But I saved the ETX at least.
Should have just stuck with the back porch, but it was so dang clear I just had to go out.
Unfortunately, I did not clear-out the back yard as well as I normally do, as there was a lot of added fill dirt added at all the low spots (still clearing/grading for the observatory). Took a nice slip and almost fall carrying it all out, and really twanged my back. But I saved the ETX at least.

We have had a few nice days here in Ohio, bonus days for February to be sure. I have actually had 2 decent sessions this month so far. I am hoping for one more good night to spend in and around Orion. I have the targets all selected, now if i can get the temps and sky to cooperate
