Welcome to 2024 astronomers! Here at nPAE we will be launching 3 new products and taking them on the road! We’ll save the first destination for last, as it’s too good to bowl right in with!

Our second stop of the year is the Practical Astronomy Show in Warwickshire, UK on the 23rd March. Then at the beginning of April we’ll be in the Washington D.C. area to choose our spot for the total solar eclipse totality path on the 8th. On May the 4th we’ll be back in Essen, Germany for the ATT event, Europe’s largest astronomy show.

There is also a rumour swirling around the office that we’re heading to the American Association of Variable Star Observers annual meeting at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, in Huntsville, AL, USA on November 8 – 10. Also on the to-be-confirmed list are the British Astronomical Association events. We’ll keep you posted on both of these.

At all these events we’ll be showcasing the new 2” flip diagonal to mount one eyepiece and one camera to your telescope; the 6 x 2” eyepiece Turret and the 6 x 2” eyepiece flip turret which will provide visual and astrophotography on one telescope!

As well as our events and product launches we’ll be running our Northern and Southern Hemisphere astrophotography competitions and the nPAE World Championship! Follow our website and social media to see developments throughout the year.

Our big announcement is we’ll be at the Winter Star Party in Florida from the 5th to the 11th February! This is the 40th Anniversary of the Winter Star Party. We haven’t been to this event before and we’re looking forward to hanging out with the South Cross Astronomical Society in the Florida Keys. There are still spaces available so if you are thinking of going, don’t delay!

To get the year off to the best start we’d like to present our free annual calendar which features the main astronomical events of the year and astrophotography from our competitions. It is available free to download from this link:
