Re: Very sad news.
Oh man, I totally missed this most terrible news. Marshall was a strong and steady presence here. Always cheerful and respectful of everyone here. I considered him a good friend for many years and he is simply irreplaceable to our community. Rest with the stars dear friend, your contributions to our community are legend.

Re: Very sad news.
Since Sheri his wife broke the news to us she told me there might be a zoom or YouTube link for the ceremony which ostensibly we could attend/watch. I will pass on the URL if I can get it from Sheri.kt4hx wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 1:52 am Here is an obituary for Marshall that I found:

Re: Very sad news.
Sheri emailed me. There will be an online service but the church needs the email address of each viewer to send out the link. So I will gather this info. Please pm me your email address if you wish to attend. She asked that I collect these and forward them to her by email. So if that's ok I will make a list and then forward them to her.

Re: Very sad news.
This was very sad to hear. He was someone that made a real impression on me, when I returned to the hobby over 10 years ago on the old Astronomy Forum site.
My condolences to his family and close friends, of which I am sure there are many. I will say a little prayer for them tonight.
I am sure that he is now experiencing the many known and unknown wonders of the universe "in person" so to speak.

Unfortunately I will not be available to view the service, but I hope you have gotten some additional folks lined up Michael. Thanks for working this out for us and Sheri.
