I'm a bit of a fan of Jazz FM these days. They recently played a song I thought I recognised. Turns out it was an old David Bowie song from the first vinyl album I ever bought, a track that I probably had not heard for 40+ years. The girl singing it did a lovely rendition. This is the original.

The tree of us here are Linken Park fans. Our daughter Sarah knew the lyrics of most of their songs by age 5, even the explicit ones. Don't say that word at school!
It was a sad day when we heard the news of Chester's death in 2017. Never got to see them live.
I have all of their albums on vinyl, and then for my last birthday and Christmas, Sarah bought me the 3 record set of the 20th anniversary of Meteora, then the new release of Hybrid Theory. My child knows me so well!
Back last December, I got an email from https://www.linkinpark.com/ about an upcoming release, a double LP set called Papercuts, a remastered release of all their singles. Limited copies, so I pre-ordered, and guess what showed up yesterday.
Such a nice end to the week!
It sounds so good! We've listened to it three times since One of the best songs is Lost; it was supposed to be released on the 20th anniversary of Meteora album, but got put on this record. One of those "lost tracks" thing.
Such a good song, you should hear it on vinyl!
And my new album:
The girls were not surprised when I had this done a few years ago

Well I never knew Spinal Tap were a real band! I thought they were mock rocker characters from the Simpsons!

They are and they are not?
They are actors/ comedians but play instruments as well.
If you have not seen it before I highly recommend watching This Is Spinal Tap.
The greatest rockumentary ever made
Many musicians have cited them as being a influence.
For a more folk music style check out their videos as The Folksmen
