Hi all. Since the start of summer it has really been getting hot all over most of the US and other places too, with many experiencing record high temperatures. And the sun is extremely active lately too, with the latest Raben Systems Solar Active Region count now at AR3054. Here is a song which describes the hot days but also looks forward to the nights. Up next from 1966, here are the The Lovin' Spoonful with Summer in the City:

Although I prefer the un-remastered version of this, whenever I hear it I am reminded of that summer, 1966, when I turned 10. We stayed at my aunt's beach house in Oceanside, California, 100 yards from the shore, and this song was playing on AM radio stations.

Bumble & the Stingers recorded Bumble Boogie, which was a modern boogie version of Rimsky-Korsakov's "Flight of the Bumble Bee". And not to be left out, Liberace then performed his version on his 1950's/1960's weekly TV show:

Sometime during the mid-60s, my grandmother took me to see Liberace perform at Melodyland, in Anaheim, California. The theater had a revolving stage at the center. I have no memory of the numbers he played, but I do remember lots of glitter.

Recently discovered a band I did not know existed at the time. A live performance recorded during the last year they would be together.
Lyrics were not their forte, on stage, but rather, the sound.
