7 clair-obscur effects to observe on the Moon
This is a old article but still relevant today.
I knew a few of these and learned something new.
My "Add to viewing list" is becoming a huge file! So much to see, so little time.

Re: 7 clair-obscur effects to observe on the Moon
Thanks! I’ve added this to my bookmarks for future reference. Growing up in Houston glued to the Apollo missions has given me a special affinity with the Moon. I’ve known some of these asterisms but not all.

I think most of us have heard of and seen the X and Y features.
I have not seen or heard of the others before this.
Have fun hunting them down and do let us know if you see them.

Re: 7 clair-obscur effects to observe on the Moon
Very serendipitous you should bring this up. I am almost done with the new 5-year Lunar X and V schedule. I only have 2027 and 2028 left to calculate. You should see it by the 1st!
Cheers,

Here’s another one for you. Last night, I observed a “tall man” standing on the edge of the Moon!

Thanks JT, I see it's posted up, nice work.
Now to put your thinking cap on and devise a list for the others?
