Geminid Meteor

I'm set up with an 18mm lens on the front of my ASI294MC Pro, on a tripod looking South. Didn't get anything last night but I got this one tonight.

That's a great shot Graeme, nicely done and good for you! I'm guessing that's Venus below and Spica above?

Nothing for me; I only saw clouds :lol:

Thanks Mark.

It's Jupiter below with Hamal and Sheratan above. Uranus is in the image too but I didn't realise till I opened up Stellarium.

We have cloud now so I've paused the capture.

Great shot. With the 18mm on the 294, your FOV isn't that big. You were lucky to get one.
I observed a lot of Geminids visually that missed the FOV of the camera even with the much
wider field of a 14mm lens on a full frame DSLR sensor.

Same as that. I saw loads that the camera missed, probably the best I've ever seen!

And I no doubt missed loads whilst buggering about with the camera!
