Baader Hershel Prism
From now until Christmas I'll be working A LOT of overtime, to the point of almost doubling my paycheck, so I figure now would be a good time to acquire more equipment. I just ordered this Baader solar prism. It comes with a Solar Continuum filter that I've been meaning to get for a while anyway. My thought process was it would be easier/cheaper in the long run to have this to use in multiple refractors vs having a solar filter for each scope. Now, if I buy 10 more refractors the savings in solar filters will be HUGE!

Guilty as charged Bill, thanks I guess?? Glad to help you spend your $$$ Seriously though, I bought those two back in May 2022. Both filters together cost me under $200 CDN and have been two of my best investments for Solar and even lunar.
With your Baadr solar prism the results should be awesome... I really have to get one of these!

I have had my Baader Herschel wedge for quite a few years now and have never regretted the price. (€ 800 at the time)
I purchased the photographic version which came with the extra ND filters as well as the Solar Continuum.
I usually run it with just the ND 3 + ND 0.9 which is around a combined ND 4.9 and set the SC filter on the eyepiece for enhancing any extra details.

I have the updated or current model and it has been a Solar experimenters dream tool,
Being able to use it well beyond just white light with its very simple to use but extremely adavanced opticals and fully advanced filtering capabilities.
