I recently got the ZWO ASI224MC camera and wanted to try it out so the other day I went out to do some solar images. I wasn't concerned with quality as much as just getting used to the camera and software (ASI Studio). First, I used my Daystar HA scope. In the eyepiece (25mm) I can see the whole disc but the camera only shows maybe a 1/4 of the disc. I tried my SvBony (with solar filter) and thru the eyepiece (32mm) I get most of the disc but again, with the camera I only get maybe a 1/4 of it, as if I put in a higher mag eyepiece. My question is: Is there something I can do about that? I did a little reading and, if I understand it correctly, a focal reducer gives a wider field of view. Would that work?

First off, this site is very useful.

Also here is what it predicts as to what you should see with your gear.

Thanks. I knew about that site but I always forget about it.
