question about Scope in light polluted areas

I'm near / under approach and departure paths to O'Hare and Midway and I'm sure jet exhaust adds to the filth, but I think a bigger impact might be when a plane flies through my field of view. Brief, but the strobes are mighty bright and blow my night vision. :o

I know what you mean. I once lived in the approach path to Kennedy Airport. They were non stop. Thank God I wasn't into Astronomy then.
