Celestron Nexstar+ 127 SLT, several budget plossl eyepieces, Celestron 8-24mm zoom EP and a 12.5mm illuminated double reticle EP, Svbony SV205 camera w/.5 focal reducer, Celestron SkyMaster 20x80 binos on a 40 yr old QuickSet PanHead tripod, Stellarium, Sharpcap and ManyCam on my laptop, SkyView and Nightshift on my phone and a dandy little $9 red-light flashlight.

re Facebook: For about fifteen years I was part of a very active military history forum. We had collectors, teachers, model builders, artists, gamers, published authors, lot of veterans, and a volunteer staff that was largely able to keep the peace with over 50,000 international users at one point. We had specialized sub forums for major historical periods, games run by volunteers, off topic sections for music, cooking, sports, and jokes. We had contests for historical debate with online ribbons awarded.
When the magazine that paid for it was sold twice, the final set of owners stopped paying for the web site. About a hundred of us re-connected on FB where we still post photos, swap stories, analyze current events, and tell bad jokes.
Any metaphor will tear if stretched over too much reality.
