Hey, all. My name is Stephen Fishman from the Piney Woods of northeast Texas. I'm an old guy and I'm getting back to this pasttime after a hiatus of 6 decades. It feels like I'm starting all over given the changes in technology and the cost of good equipment.

My re-entry is with an 8-inch Dobsonian and its OEM eyepieces. At least the targets are pretty much unchanged.

Please take it easy on the new guy...

Hi Stephen and Welcome to the forums! The hiatus thing is actually pretty common due to the issues of life getting in the way, - job, family, other demands on your time and whatnot.
