Perseids from August 2015

I've been very busy with work and the weather has been hot garbage around here so I decided to pull this image out of the archive.
It was taken from the Berlin-Ichthyosaur State Park in northern Nevada during the peak of the Perseids in 2015.
Berlin, NV was a gold mining town founded in the 1890s and in the early 20th century, dinosaur bones were discovered there. Many of the town's original structures are still standing, a testament to the build quality of the time. For this image, I was shooting with a Canon 5D Mark II and shooting at ISO800 for 20 seconds with a Rokinon 24mm 1.4 lens. I shot continuously for one hour and then composited all the frames together to create this image. A little headlamp light-painting helped with the foreground on one of the 20-second exposures.
