Pretty awesome read.
I can’t imagine how much this endeavor cost, but good for him to be able to pursue his dream.

The image on his web site looks amazing. It would be fun to dive into a full resolution image of this thing.

Actually, the print prices are very reasonable.

Nice capture, but it is not entire Milky Way. On a given night you can only capture half of it, no matter where are you located.

I looked it up on Stellarium, from Brisbane where the Milky Way is right on the equator if you pick the right time. His wide image spans about 160 degrees. Of course, it's the part with the highest concentration of objects. His personal website has amazing images.

Exactly, he captures great images which deserve plenty of credit, no need for exaggeration and misleading the readers.

I have a framed version of the 100% 360° Milky Way from Mellinger ©1999 on the wall of my den.
