Airglow Event - Oct 31, 2021
On October 31, 2021, I was on aurora watch following a large flare that eventually narrowly missed the Earth. Instead, I was treated to a bright and spectacular airglow event very very faintly visible to the naked eye. Airglow is relatively uncommon in this region so this was a real treat.

This is a re-process of an almost 2 year old image. The image was captured at ISO 25600 and I wanted to try the new Lightroom AI noise reduction on this image. It has reduced noise in the foreground of the original and the sky dramatically.

Location: Young Hilltops Region, Central West New South Wales, AUSTRALIA. This lane and paddock belongs to my neighbour.

Equipment and EXIF
Pentax K1, 30s, ISO 25600
Samyang 14mm f2.8
Processing:
Image adjustment - Lightroom.
Watermarking - Photoshop.
