Hi Frank. This was a fascinating video showing our location in the Milky Way. It is like a very highly technical "you are here map" we see in a large shopping mall or at a rest stop along an Interstate Highway, only this took a long time to develop. Well, it is good to know that we are in the Orion Spur of the Milky Way Galaxy. Thanks for finding and sharing this great video link on here today Frank and keep up your great work on finding astronomy links for us to enjoy.

Hi my friend hope all is well with you ?
That a great way to put like a “ you are here” like at a mall !
What I learnt that I didn’t know about was the “ halo of clusters” above our Milky Way !

Now that tracking the outer arms is occurring, the Milky Way's disc has been extended to ~150,000 light years.
That means the Sun is only about 1/3 of the way (~27kly) from the center to the edge of the disc.
