A JAXA/NASA collaborative mission with ESA participation. The X-Ray Imaging and Spectroscopy Mission (pronounced ‘krizz-em'). Studying gas in galaxy clusters, the chemical enrichment of the Universe, and extreme physics around accreting supermassive black holes.

Hi Graeme. Wow, this new X-Ray Imaging and Spectroscopy Mission should provide a lot of new data and information about the Universe. With each new mission we improve our techniques, technology, and equipment to learn more and more.
