I'm currently in the middle of some of the very best seeing conditions I've ever experienced while solar imaging (11:50am PDT). Now when I say that, what I really mean is that my seeing is "Good".
I'm working on a timelapse right now of the huge prominence on the southwestern limb of the Sun. I should have it complete later tonight or tomorrow to share.

It was a very "quiet" Sun today. If you've ever heard that before and didn't understand what it meant, here's what an active Sun looks like from a couple days ago.
And here's what the "quiet" Sun looked like today.
If you want to follow the Sun almost real time, this is the best site to use.

If you are watching live and see a spike on the graph, you can open the GOES-18 timelapse loop that loops the past 3 hours to see where the activity is happening.
It really is amazing times we live in to have free access to this kind of data.

W/L - C80-HD with Baader 5.0 & 3.8 Solar film, Solar Continuum 7.5nm and UV/IR filters with a Canon EOS 550D.
