So I could not help myself at a garage sale and got this scope for the equivalent of 15US I just purchased it for fun , scope is good , mount bad and tripod ok , it looks good but looks can be deceiving , the mount is all plastic inside , and broken , another project for me , after a so so fix the OTA is good easily 100x to look at Jupiter

A nice reflector to play with Richard.
At f/8 it should put up some nice views.

Yeah, probably a re-branded Skywatcher (at least a Synta product). I have two of these though mine are a Towa and Tasco respectively. They're both really good in quality, and at that focal length, easy to collimate and very forgiving on lenses. One has a 1.25" focuser and the Towa still has its rock-solid .965". If the skies ever clear I would like to have a look through them again... :D
I do like the model sticker on the focuser... Coated Lens?

Still, nice deal, especially for the price. Enjoy!

Yes I also had A Tasco 11te that I mounted on a Home made dobs mount , worked well then , but I made it a bit low , next one will be better, was given away to the needy.
I replaced all the plastic bits (clutches ,retainers etc with some brass that I machined) the mount works better now but not with a long reflector , so may build another Dobs mount for it, If I give this to someone starting off it will put them off this hobby
Here is a picture of the 11TE on a Dobs mount , the finder was a cut tube 4TE? but cant remember now
