After spending a couple of hours putting together the June quiz, it was very disappointing to have three people post spoilers about the content of a question and post suggestions that cast false doubt upon the correctness of the answer. I felt like I wasted my time. So this month, I set myself a time limit of just 10 mins to write the questions and answers, all plucked out of my head. No hard questions. Nothing requiring current up to date knowledge.

I got a 100% in six minutes. I try to slow myself down to prevent bad guesses. Nice little quiz in my book!

Anyway Joe, don't fret over those that want to spoil things by posting clues or casting doubt on answers. They are not worth the time taken to be aggravated with, as there are always going to be such folks in any group. You do a fine job, and don't let anyone tell you differently. Your efforts are appreciated.

Congratulations to the July quiz high scorers.

The July quiz is still open for new tries but I have tallied the scores. Because this quiz was so easy, I have taken both completion time and accuracy into account.

I have corrected all the scores below so that anybody who answered either Sol or Proxima Centauri got a point. This was because I realised that Sol is not as widely a known name for the Sun as I thought it was when I set the question.

The first question of each quiz is more of a poll. Every answer is marked correct.

So everyone gets at least one point and I'm more interested in the spread of answers.

Hi Carole,
There were 11 questions so 90.91% is 10/11. Eleven Q's was a miscount on my part. When editing, you just see. along stream of dialogue boxes. Next quiz has 10 Q's.

My post was still open for editing. I've added you into the 10/11 2 min group.
