Remote Telescope Hosting and Telescope Rental

#1

Post by DesertRollOff »

Hello all, just wanted to take a minute and introduce my business. I own and operate Astronomy Acres LLC located near Rodeo, NM. We offer remote telescope hosting and have room for 4 additional telescopes. We also are gearing up to offer two telescopes for nightly imaging rental and hope to have these available by August. For complete details and pricing refer to the website: astronomyacres.com. The telescope rental is not on the website currently but will be added in the next couple of weeks. The telescopes will be a Planewave CDK12.5 with QHY600 on an L350 mount and Celestron 9.25" EdgeHD with Hyperstar and QHY268C on a Mach2 mount. Thank you for looking!

Hi DesertRollOff. Sounds interesting and it seems like more folks are getting into remote imaging. I see you joined in February but are just posting now. Good luck with the endeavor and Happy Fourth.

Hello DesertRollOff. I agree with Michael in that we see more folks using the remote imaging opportunities. It may be the larger telescopes available with excellent cameras or the better night skies than what they have at home. Thanks for posting your introduction DesertRollOff and the best of wishes with your new endeavor.

I had a basic SLOOH subscription for a year. It was ok, but the UI for scheduling seemed really clunky. Looking forward to seeing your remote offerings.
