Re: Multi million dollar telescope auction
Interesting sale. A day to examine the inventory with bids due the next day. Maybe the proprietor(s) are looking at retiring or perhaps heirs are selling everything.

That's sad,
When I was still living in California, OPT was my 'go-to' place. Since they were acquired by new owners in 2016, things began to change and with COVID it appears they were trying to sell online only. I hope that is the direction they are going and not just quitting altogether.

From what I've read elsewhere, the two owners are gone, living in different states, re-inventing themselves as other people. It seems they had little understanding of what it takes to run the successful business they bought. The lockdown didn't help, but was not the cause of its demise.
