What sort of books do you like to read?

I can only speak for myself here. I find (apart from general fiction and sci-fi), I read a lot of "how to" books. I also like to read accounts of astronomers throughout history. Stuart Clark has a few good ones out, such as "The Sun Kings". This is naturally of interest to me, being a keen solar observer and photographer. Then (also by Stuart) is "The Day before Yesterday", a biography of Einstein.

I see there are lots of beginner books about. Some are still interesting to more experienced astronomers, at least in parts.

What sort of books do the rest of you like?

Aside from astro books, I mainly read WW2 military (mainly North African, Sicilian, and Italian campaigns) and ancient Egyptian history, sci-fi, and contemporary murder mysteries.
