NGC 5286 (Caldwell 84) is a Shapley-Sawyer class V (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shapley%E2 ... tion_Class) globular cluster located approximately 35,800 light-years away in Centaurus.

Luminance – 12x600s – 120 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 11:10:10x600s – 110:100:100 minutes each – binned 1x1

530 minutes total exposure – 8 hours 50 minutes

Imaged over eight nights in February, June and July 2022 at the El Sauce Observatory (Rio Hurtado, Chile) with a FLI PL 9000 on a PlaneWave CDK24 at f/6.5 3974 mm.

Hi Dan. Another nice image remotely captured using the big instrument at the El Sauce Observatory and this time it is NGC 5286 in LRGB light. Again you have excellent contrast and the globular cluster star colors just dance out. Thanks for sharing this fine work with us Dan and keep at it.
