Solar eclipse today :)

#1

Post by yobbo89 »

Well I haven't touch my scope since January, I've had a long break from astronomy, it is Exhausting work and I've kind of lost interest and have started spending my time heavily into electronics building boards, flashing chips and diagnosing faults with my oscilloscope but I think might get back into it soon, well the deep sky imaging aspect

Any How, down in Brisbane we have I think about 16-17% solar eclipse, more Then enough to put on a Show and man the scope, can't wait to see everyones total eclipse images :)

Off to get some cold beers and start the BBQ while I wait for friends and family to come around for a view :)

We didn't even see the sun here in Adelaide (should have been about 24% eclipsed): but a few ASSA friends made the trip to a cloud free Exmouth, and they are very happy campers tonight...
I'm hanging out for 2028 around the SA/QLD border, and 2030 in the Flinders Ranges. :)
All the best,

Dean

Hi Rob. It looks like you made a great effort and had a great setup before the Earth's nebulosity set in to "cloud the issue". Thanks for your report and photos Rob and looking forward to see if you can process a .gif video.
