I'm trying some different techniques in processing and capturing solar images.

Here's one I did today and I would like input and comments.

I am assuming this is an all in one" capture . This is my preferred method but can be difficult unless the prom has some substance and is bright . I will raise the gamma a bit for the capture but not too much or it will create "sky glow" I still use Registax 6 for stacking and find the gamma control in this program very useful to brighten proms and reducing sky glow .
Solar scopes (Coronado Ha) 60mm double stack , 90mm double stack , 150mm single stack .

That’s exactly what I’m looking for!

I typically capture surface in one image and proms in another then combine images. But I was in a “playful mood.

I guess I am lazy , I like to capture them together when I can . Here is another go with less sky glow , they are easier to work with from the video stage .

Gordon
I was not able to use Registax on that one because it was not the video . I use Registax for stacking and Wavelets , the only time I use the gamma feature is to bring up the proms and reduce sky glow . For your pic I put it into a very early version of P/S and adjusted the Lighting ( levels , shadows - highlights and contrast ) I also increased the saturation a tiny bit .

Just to point out, and I'm sure you know this, you can load a single image into Registax 6 if you plan on only using the wavelets function.

Well Gordon, being a white light person, I can't form an opinion really, but I do like the detail and colour. Though if you want an opinion, what Mike did certainly brought everything (especially the prom) out just that much more.
Not being critical, but you did ask...

Still, nicely dome and good for you on the finally clear skies!

All the best,
Mark

"The Hankmeister" Celestron 8SE, orange tube Vixen made C80, CG4 & AZ-EQ5 mounts.
Too much Towa glass/mirrors.

H/A - PST stage 2 mod with a Baader 90mm ERF on a Celestron XLT 102 (thanks Mike!)
Ca-K - W/O 61mm, Antares 1.6 barlow, Baader 3.8 OD and Ca-K filters with a ZWO ASI174mm.
W/L - C80-HD with Baader 5.0 & 3.8 Solar film, Solar Continuum 7.5nm and UV/IR filters with a Canon EOS 550D.

Oh yeah, and Solar Cycle 25 :D

I just want to point out that the most important part of Gordon's image , the "capture" was done very well . He brought up the exposure enough to include the prom details without washing out the surface . Gordon captured all of the details , I just helped bring out what was already there .

Yes very well done Gordon, if the data isn't captured then it's not there to be pulled out.The big tease and reward is trying to pull it all out.
