Orion Finder needs rubber ring

I have an Orion right angle right image finder which uses the usual combination of 3 screws and a rubber ring to locate the Optical tube and enable the viewing direction to be adjusted, The rubber ring is disintegrating most probably due to age. Does anyone have a recommendation for a replacement? the finder is in VGC otherwise and I would like to be able to use it properly. Thanks for any inputs!

Plumbing section of the local hardware shop will have various diameter/ thickness rubber o-rings.
Take your old one along and match it.
Hardware and craft shops are great astro accessory outlets :)

I would check hardware stores first as Lady Fraktor suggested.

Agena has it, but with shipping to UK that would a one expensive o-ring!

Maybe they have these or other similar products on the UK Amazon.

The O-ring on my Orion finder slipped down the tube. I never noticed it was out of place - didn't cause a problem that I could see. YMMV.
But I also use regular cap head screws with a bit of duck tape to protect tubes instead of buying nylon-tipped screws, so I am a barbarian. :shhh:

If the old one has disintegrated just take the finder to the hardware or hobby shop, failing that an elastic band does the job

To get a rubber o-ring that fits perfectly on the finder scope of a Star Watcher that I had I took the finder scope to a shop that specialises in o-rings, I gave it to the lady and explained that it must fit in the grove around the finder and be about 2mm thick, she measured it and came back with a perfect fit!
