Hi Frank. It looks like Coby and his friends went on a ride of a lifetime with Blue Origin. I love the part of the video where they are weightless. Thanks for finding and sharing this interesting and fun to view link with us Frank and keep up the great work finding things like this for us on here.

Thanks Marshall !
I was thinking of you just last night!
As you know the moon is only at like 20% BUT with that Barlow that you so graciously let me obtain from you I got an eye full.
I looked at just the highlighted sliver of the 20% of the moon and I kept playing around with the different eyepieces that you also gave me.
When I got down to the 6MM EP with the Barlow I could actually see on the edges of craters the mountain ranges and when I say mountain I mean mountain’s I could see how “tall “they were for lack of a better word word!
The contrast was unbelievable, I had never seen the moon in that detail.
BTW in a week I’m have cataract surgery on both my eyes.
I’m sure I will be seeing even more detail on everything after I cross that hurtle!
Gee if I had known there was so much to see I would have started decades ago ! :Astronomer1:

Hi Frank. I am so happy that you enjoy the Shorty Plus Barlow lens. Many TSS forum members (including myself) have had the cataract surgery on both eyes in the last few years. Lots of eye drops to take for a couple of weeks but things are brighter/clearer now and colors are more vivid. I can see closer now without my readers glasses, and the only problem left is that I still have some "floaters". Thanks Frank and the very best of wishes with your new eye lenses.

Thank you Marshall for sharing the information about the cataract surgery.
I am a little apprehensive, but the two main things I was thinking about, was being able to see things better through my telescope, and two the next time I have to take the eye exam for my drivers license I will shouldn’t have any problem!
My uncle who is 80 something years old said he had it done within 48 hours he was seen better and he said it was pretty painless. Wondering if you have the same conditions and outcome?

Hi Frank. I too was worried about passing the drivers license vision test so I went ahead and had it done. And almost everybody in my family and Sheri's family did too. It was a piece of cake and the procedure didn't take very long. I went back a few months later and go the other eye done too. The only thing is that when you leave the facility you are wearing a small cup over your eye and with one eye you have no depth perception, and you might misjudge a step or curb. For just a couple of days you take off the cup for your eye drops and put it back on. Then you can say goodbye to the cup but the eye drops regimen goes on for a couple of weeks. I hope this helps Frank and the very best of wishes to you and to your wife.
