Another spectacular display of Northern lights in the UK.

I was able to admire the show for about 20 minutes, the times that the clouds arrive.
It was very good, but weak in intensity.

I have yet to witness a Northern lights display in real life Jean-Yves

Although this latest one was visible in southern England (where I live), let's just say I wasn't prepared in advance for the upcoming spectacle

It was overcast and raining in the New Forest on Thursday anyway, so without travelling further south to clearer skies we didn't have much chance

I am hoping that one day I will be able to do a posting about the Northern lights to say I actually witnessed it

One can only dream

I was quite surprised the other night, I was in Hungary and when looking up noticed the skies to the north had a light green tint.
It took a few seconds to realize that it was aurora. Even though the display just looked like green cloud cover I had never seen it that far south before.

I have heard northern Scotland has soon good aurora displays.

Scotland have had a few good displays.

Visible here but for the clouds, I've seen a couple of photos folks have snapped.
