Aurora nightscape

Hi everyone!
Not a lot of action from me lately. I´ve been really ill but I´m on the mend now. About two weeks ago my wife took me to the ER after getting worse and worse. It started with a strep throat and ended up with sepsis and risk of necrotising fasciitis. Google it if you want nightmares. Luckily, they were able to catch it in time and after 5 days in the hospital with heavy doses of antibiotics and cortison, I was ready to go home. My body took a real hit and I had to use a walker to be able to get out of bed. All good now, though. Just a bit tired, still.
During my absence there were a few days of spectacular aurora that I missed of course. However, just a few days before I got ill, I managed to catch some beautiful aurora down by lake Vättern where i live. Here is one of the images, a Youtube video is coming later on. I tried to incorporate more of the foreground in this image, not focusing only on the beautiful sky. :icon-smile:

Hi Martin. A beautiful aurora nightscape image from Lake Vättern. Excellent contrast, the celery green "shower curtain" aurora shows up well, and the foreground features add a nice depth effect. Thanks for sharing this with us on here Martin and the best of wishes for a full health recovery.

A lovely photo Martin.

Sorry to hear about your illness. It sounds really nasty, so I didn't want to do any research on it.

I hope you fully recover soon.

Take care.

Sounds as if you had a nasty run in with some major bugs - get well soon - the nightscape is first class.

Hi Martin,
Sorry to hear that you have been so ill.
Sounds like are very fortunate to have pulled through that.
Like Tony said, first class image!
You have been very ill, but your talent for photography hasn’t suffered a bit.
Beautiful image!
