New PDF book about the Messier objects

I just saw a post on CN today by the authors of a new PDF book about the visual observation of the Messier objects. They provide sketches (using a 12 inch newt) and images (using a 6" newt) for each object as seen at their observing site in Hungary. They also provide a very short and basic written description. The book is downloadable from the Vega Astronomical Association website in both English and Hungarian. They have a donation link set up, but it is in no way required to get the book. I downloaded it and scanned the document with both MalwareBytes and Webroot and found no issues with it. Below I provide the link to the website where the book can be found. It is about 86.3MB, so a decently large download. Looks nice and hopefully some will find it useful.

Downloaded the English version. It looks pretty good although I only skimmed it briefly. Always have to disagree with the renditions of M4 though - that sucker is always mediocre at best in my skies. :(

Well it does matter how good one's skies are for M4 and some others. At our dark site, M4 is extremely bright and well resolved through the eyepiece, and is naked eye visible. But at home, its sort of meh.

Thank you for the link Alan, a nice atlas.
I think the voluntary donation is good considering all of the hours spent to produce it.

Thanks, Alan.

A very good representation of not only what but how the object will appear through the EP.
