A new major X-class solar flare
The sun just erupted from the sun Saturday (Feb. 11) with a major X-class solar flare and created a temporary radio blackout over South America. It originated from an area of the sun called Active Region 3217 and there may be more to follow. You can read more about this (and a video) here, at:
