IC 5332 (ESO 408-9, PGC 71775 and others) is an intermediate spiral galaxy located approximately 33 million light-years away in Sculptor.

Luminance – 22x600s – 220 minutes – binned 1x1
RGB – 22:22:23x600s – 220:220:230 minutes – binned 1x1

890 minutes total exposure – 14 hours 50 minutes

Imaged over ten nights in August, September and October, 2022 at the El Sauce Observatory (Rio Hurtado, Chile) with a FLI PL 9000 on a PlaneWave CDK24 at f/6.5 3974 mm.

Hi Dan. A superb IC 5332 face on spiral galaxy and neighbors image in LRGB light using the El Sauce Observatory in Rio Hurtado, Chile. Excellent contrast and processing with sparkling spiral arms and a nice core. I especially enjoyed the LRGB cropped version on the flickr site and that almost 15 hours of data really paid off. Thanks for sharing this with us on here Dan and keep up the great work.
