Adding my C/2022 E3 to the mix

#1

Post by XCalRocketMan »

With some clear skies finally making an appearance I was able to get some LRGB data on comet C2022 E3. Unfortunately, the Flat/Reducer is still not cooperating on the ZS61 and the stars are a bit wonky. In addition, I was not able to get as many Lum subs as I had planned as clouds moved in and half the luminance subs were rejected. I really wanted to use the ZS61 so that I could capture the long ion tail, and I did seem to manage that finally.

Hi Mickey. A superb Comet C/2022 E3 in LRGB palette. Excellent contrast with a beautiful celery green color. This is one of the best captures that I have seen Mickey and thanks for sharing this work with us on here.

A beautiful image Mikey.

Believe it or not, that is what I saw through the EP three nights ago. Obviously, not as detailed or bright but I did see that "V" shape.

Very cool,
