What is the procedure or consensus on powering up your observatory when running remotely. It seems as if each device has its own peculiarities in hookup procedure. If I power on a device that instructions tell me I should power on and then cable to my comp or vice versa am I going to fry things? My Sbig equipment are examples of this.

I normally plug everything in on the remote location, then turn on the power, and finally turn on the computer. So far I haven't had any issues (except forgetting to turn on the computer.... )
